    Do these fabrics work together?

I want to donate a block or two to Quilting for Boston. They've asked for blocks using blue, yellow, grey and white and this is what I have available. I don't trust my eye -- do these fabrics work? I was thinking of something similar to a log cabin block (adjusted because I don't have that many different fabrics) I was thinking the yellow in the middle with the greys and blues surrounding.

It needs to be 12 inches tall; can be any width but probably I will make it square. I'm now thinking of a zig-zag block.

If you have a dark brown I'd add that to the mix for more contrast.

they are asking for only four colors: grey, white, yellow and blue.

I think that those colours work well together. I wonder which block you will be making? Please post when done! Thank you.

Please expound on the parameters of this Blocks for Boston project: besides the four colors requested and the block size (12"?), what else == when to have them sent in and where to send them?

Blocks are to be sent in by May 24, I believe. More information is here:
    http://bostonmqg.blogspot.com/p/quilts-for-boston.html

Here is my finished block. I can't decide whether to send it -- it was my first attempt at half-square triangles and even though I'm certain I measured correctly, the square came up short. I had to add a border and I think maybe it renders the entire block too sloppy to submit. I'd appreciate any opinions.
