Default Do you know the name of this pattern?

Hi all,

Does anyone know the name of this quilt pattern? I was guessing something with star in the name, but maybe I'm way off base. Haven't come across it yet in any pictures. Is it from the 1930's? Thanks for any help!!

Hmmm, interesting. I want to draw a nine patch, then the "other" block.

Try looking under Glorified Nine Patch? I am pretty sure if you look up variations of the Nine Patch you will find it.

Thank you - that was an amazingly quick reply!

My computer is being awful right now. I'm having a horrible time searching for your answers, but I think you must be right.

Thanks to all of you! Looks like this has a lot of names - curved, extended, improved and glorified nine patch. Probably lots of others too. I really feel stupid now though because I've been searching through lots of books for the past week and it turns out that I have this pattern in a book under the name "glorified nine patch". Just didn't recognize it since it was made with scrappy "arms", a white center cross with embroidered signatures and yellow outside circles.

It may be from the 30's. Not sure. It belongs to a relative but she doesn't know anything about it.
