I'm lucky, zzyzx the cat doesn't go after the pins & needles, but she IS a chair thief! But she is ADDICTED to fleece, so she has many pieces of fleece that are reinforced with cat hair to lay on & under around the house. I even made her a fleece "sack" & when it's cold she'll crawl inside of it to sleep!

This is what my sewing room usually looks like if I want to get anything done. Sure makes it difficult to cut fabric this way.

That is EXACTLY what I am talking about!!! I think all cats secretly get these lessons as a group when we aren't looking

I Agree!! I think they have little cell phones and keep in touch with each other, comparing notes & giving suggestions to each other! Ha-HA!!

Our fur Kids just love to sew with us. And when we are not sewing they think they can do it themselfs.

As a puppy Gus the schnauzer loved the cross stitch threads that I cut off the back of my projects... I think the oils from my hands made them irresistible for him. They were tiny snippets so I didn't worry too much... until he found a thread with a needle still attached. His x-rays showed the needle (thread still attached as we found out later) stuck crossways across his lower bowel. $1000.00 later Gus came home. It went the whole way through his system and a scant three inches short!!

Luckily he is over that fetish and Finn his Sheltie brother just chews expensive shoes.

At least he isn't peeing on them first   One of our cats LOVES to pee on my DH's shoes. I told him it was "liquid love"    (then prayed that she wouldn't do it to mine!!)
