Dogwood Tree
Here she is, in all her glory! I got her bound Sunday and washed and dried her. These pics are before washing; I'm ashamed how wrinkled it is!! The brown spot at the bottom of the branch went away (Not sure what that was, to be honest!! Might have come off another quilt in my UFO pile?) when I spot-treated it.
Thanks to everyone who has given me advice on this one. I learned a lot with this quilt. I had a hard time with it, because I tried to spray baste it, and it wouldn't stay basted. I found out that my Janome doesn't like FMQ with this quilt (that's why there are so many straight lines!!) but I did get to play with a Singer that I picked up and gave to my mom. It had some decorative stitches (can't see them in the picture) but didn't like to quilt (which is why I gave it away!!).
Cotton Fabrics and thin poly batting. Perfect Spring-time quilt!
