Thanks you guys for all the positive feedback and kind words. :D Just wanted to say she loved it. When she pulled it out of the bag, she hugged the quilt
and walked off down the hall, eventually she came back for the doll. That kind of response makes it all worth it. :D :D :D Her mom was as happy as if she had received it herself and suggested   that we needed some for the church benches with winter coming soon!

love the doll and the quilt..reminds me of the time I made a dress for my daughter for Christmas and a doll with the same material...she loved them both.

Yes, we all have those types of days. Thankfully for me I get to say see ya later quilt and go do something else for the rest of day. However, I see you were under a dead line that made it all the more harder. It turned out super.

I loved the quilt and cloth doll. I refuse to call them rag dolls. I used to make dolls for my daughters, and hated it when someone called them the R word. My DGD playes with her mother's 25 yr. old doll as well as her own that is smaller, but same pattern. I wasn't into quilts when my girls were small, but now my oldest GD (3) will get a doll quilt for Christmas. Her sisters (9 Mo.) will get their first quilts then.
I'm glad you'll make your boys boy dolls. You could put bib overalls on them. After all, boys need to learn nurishing too for when they become Daddies.

Well, for all your problems, the quilt turned out beautiful. Love the doll and the way you did the hair.
