    Fons and Porter just had a TV show on this quilt. It is on their website if you don't record them. It didn't seem to bad with their tutorial.

    It's very pretty!! It doesn't look hard but there has to be a reason you won't do one again. What was difficult about it because I have never done one before??

    There's a much easier way to do a braid quilt. It doent use a template, which also keeps the diagonal edge from stretching as you sew. It looks like this link was posted here sometime back, but here it is again.     I think it's a very pretty quilt, despite using the same template over and over again - it would be the same if you made double wedding ring quilt and other quilts I can think of. You make up for the repetition by using a great variety of fabrics, which you did.

    I'm with you on this! I did 3 double rows (wasn't using the straight seperation in between) and was going crazy! Absolutely hate constant repetition. One of my daughter's saved me by telling me STOP and put borders on and make two lap quilts instead of one larger. She got one of the halves and it looks great on her sofa. Relearned my lesson.
