My thoughts exactly! What was the fabric you used for the "picture" blocks? Was it a panel or a print? It's really perfect for this quilt.

Beautiful quilt! Never worry about "being slow" at this craft. If it's your passion, every moment is enjoyable (even the ripping we sometimes have to do!). Do your best, take your time and enjoy the journey of making a quilt....each and every moment. Good job!......you are now.........A Quilter!

The idea of appliqué instead of piecing around those blocks...brilliant! Never thought of that, but much better to ensure the blocks are all the same size without messing with a lot of strips and cutting. Way to go!

KLo, Wish I could tell you ...but I had the fabric for several years. THE PICTURE BLOCKS WERE FROM A PANEL FABRIC, AND I HAD purchased the coordinating snowflake fabric at the same time.

Yes, that was the problem ... the pictures were not the same size, we're not all straight, and we're really too small IMO.
