I'm generally a hand quilter, sitting at a sewing machine is just torture for me. But with the small pieces and the timeline, I won't be able to hand quilt. I'm pretty sure I'm just using flannel for the back and batting layer so it won't be a big deal how closely it is quilted. On the machine I can do SID or straight line and that is it. Just not sure what to do with this. I want it close enough that it will be sturdy, but I don't want to take away from the pattern or make it stiff.

I am so open to suggestions on how to finish.

It's beautiful! I think this pattern is very pretty when worked up, but can't imagine working with such tiny pieces. Nice job!

Gorgeous, so do you have any new babies on the way in the family? Or you just going to keep it?

This is for my Granddaughter. This is a project to keep me busy while waiting for my Son and his daughter to move close to home. He is in the military and will be finishing up in August. I can't wait to have them close!
