Your Mom will love it. I always did that for my mom when she was in assisted living. She loved that.

That is such an adorable and pretty wall hanging. I am sure your Mom will smile every time she looks at it and so will everyone that passes by her door. Love all of the embellishments you added. Beautifully done

I love your door/wall hanging. Your original design is adorable.
One of the most appreciated gifts I gave my Mom was a similar idea. My DH made a plaque with a space above that said "Celebrate" and a 12 1/2" sq. recessed area with Velcro on the top and bottom. In January we gave her the plaque and a 12" quilted square of a snowflake with crystals (with Velcro on the back and the name of the month). Each month thereafter I would send her a monthly replacement block. Her neighbors would see her carrying a padded envelope down the hall and exclaim "That has to be the next month.......aren't you going to open it?" Mom would always make them wait for the first of the next month LOL We now have it hanging in our office as Mom is no longer with us.
