Default Double Aster Center For g'ma's birthday

I created this double aster as the center of a lap quilt for my grandma's 80th not-a-present present. It won't be done in time for the birthday so it'll be fine for her "no presents" rule. Now it'll be a "just because (you turned 80)" present.

I had a friend put the pattern together for me before I found the quilter's cache pattern, which would have made my piecing so much easier, less y-seams all around, sheesh. Now I'm a (unintentional) pro, I guess.

Very pretty. I think we should always break grandparents no gift rules, especially when it's something made with love and beautiful.
