If you don't have a walking foot, get one. It makes a world of difference in how it comes out! You'll gain confidence in your quilting very quickly when you see the results! :D

:D Here are the two quilts I finished this week. Now for the hard part - mailing!

This is my contribution ready for quilting. I had enough that I bought to do the cbinding.

This is a closeup of the stitch I used for the binding. It makes it very secure. I used this on both quilts.

This is the kit they sent. I did it envelope style which I do not like but didn't have anything for the binding.

They look great Judee! I just cut my backing an inch wider and folded it over for a binding. Going to do the airplanes tomarrow. I took the ballerina quilt to my quilt guild meeting last night and all the ladies wanted to do some too. I gave them the web site. I think they are going to have lots of quilts!!

Thanks, janstar. That's a good idea for the binding. I have a friend who belongs to a guild and she is presenting this as a project for them too. I am going to ask for another kit or two. These are such fun!

Got my top together except for the borders. It is so cute! I have to stop and pack for a class I'm taking tomorrow on the Montana Cartwheel. I'll post a picture when I get it done. What a great project, and a feel-good one, too. :D

Can you tell me how to do that, I was going to add binding, but haven't cut the backing yet.

Sharon, when you lay it out make sure you have the backing showing all around the edges. Cut your batting off to match the top and then cut the backing 1 inch larger than the rest. Fold it and pin it and just sew it down all around the edge. It works great and you don't have to cut binding. Let me know how it works for you!
