I could not find a stencil that I liked. This sent me on an old school mission -lol. I'm pretty sure ladies in rural areas years ago did not have stencils for their quilting designs. I started pulling dishes out of my china cabinet until I found one that made the shallow arc from corner to corner that I envisioned in my head. When I crossed the design the other way on the block the intertwined pattern was a great surprising bonus. The edge border was a smaller bowl from my china set. I'm glad everyone seems to like it as much as I do!

Very pretty and love the quilting. I haven't had any problem with flannel, used basting spray and walking foot.

Thanks!! I love him too! Also, a bigthanks to you for posting the Sharon Schamber youtube link! I ended up using her hand basting method and starching my flannel back - it made a world of difference! I passed the link on to another quilter who was having trouble with her backing laying flat.
