why stop with just one, keep going and you will not only gain enough blocks for a quilt but also more practice on your appliqueing etc. Very good work for your first one.

If it is the first plate block, I would make a pillow, and then cut lots of pieces and do a quilt!! piecefully, the old one

I'm going to try one of these. I just bought a Dresden Plate template. I never did applique either. I just watched a great tute by Elinore Burns. I say keep going.
