Dresden Plate Quilt--The Work of 4 Generations
#41
OMGoodness what a tremendous family heirloom. I absolutely love Dresden Plates.
The biggest issue in my family would have been 'sharing' this wonderful quilt now that it's completed! Your granddaughter free motion quilting took my breath away showing such talent at just nine years of age! Incredible! Her eye in choosing just the right colors for the sashing and eye 'popping cornerstones' is far beyond her years. I'd love to borrow her to help me with color choices :0)
I believe the puffy stuffed Yo Yo's are what our British quilting friends call Suffolk Puffs.

A very lovely quilt and such a good idea about the centers, I really love it. Your granddaughter is doing great, I can't believe she did such good work for a 9 year old. You keep it up Honey, you are doing fantastic.

Holy Cow!!!! For a 9 year old, she has a great sense of color; and for her to chose the Yoyo centers for that quilt is so creative. No wonder she has such a gorgeous smile on her face. Can you just imagine what her quilts will look like 10 or so years from now?
