They are really easy,,,shes right. And they look complicated. A little time consuming, but worth it, I think.

    Riversong & Sewnsewer,
BEAUTIFUL WORK!! Riversong, I don't think I'd be able to get that many done in a month.

I tried a rounded version and couldn't get mine to lay flat....I'll have to come back to it one of these days. I don't know about it being all that easy LOL...but I did see the pattern in my Egg Money quilt book today and thought I might give it another try.

retrogirl02, that's where this pattern I got came from. I saw it on (I think) HGTV's quilting show with Alex Anderson.

Wow you guys know how to put colors together. I did some dresdan plates years ago, they were so fun to make.

SewenSewer: You've captured my attention...I bow to you! Dresden is my favorite block and I love scrap quilts so yours has everything that appeals to me. Can't wait to see it when you finish it. I have made 2 and I'm on my third. The quilter did smallish stippling around my plates that made them just POP! She actually "made" the quilt with the quilting. I just love mine. Thanks for sharing yours.

Riversong...at risk of repeating all that I just wrote to SewnSewer, your scrap Dresden Plate is wonderful. I love your fabric choices and it looks like you do wonderful work. Thanks for sharing. Oh! Yes, I like the star blocks, also but the Dresden is my favorite.
