    Dresden Plates

So I finally broke down and tried out my Dresden Plate ruler that I've had for about a year. Two days and one incredibly sore middle finger later, I've got the beginnings of a wallhanging that I think I like but I'm not really sure...I liked it a whole lot better before I put the sashing in there. Oh Well!

love the green, they show up so well. the sashings will just make the whole block float more. if you don't like the sashings, now is the time to decide.

Looks good. Would a dark sashing give it the pizzazz you're looking for? You have a lot of lights in your plate.

It looks very fresh and spring like. Your plates are lovely! I hope your finger isn't sore from an accident. Rotary cutters are sharp!

Think it looks lovely. I'm thinking maybe darker sashing might be what you're looking for.

Your plates are very pretty...looks like some of those yummy Bunny Hill fabrics.

Love your dresden blocks but not the pink floral sashing. Try adding some more colors including the pink sashing to your plates and then choose a color compatible to all of it. I made two of these quilts, one in many purples and the other using a ton of various colored fabrics and wound up buying a good quality muslin put both of them together. Was very happy with the results. I do not care for muslin but this really tied it up. Took my plates with me when I went to purchase the sashing and made it easier.

Love the dresden, your plate is beautiful. Maybe a differnt sash would make it pop a little better, but looks good to me. Thanks for sharing.

Your dresden plate is beautiful. Try auditioning a darker color for the sashing and see if it gives you what you are looking for. I think it will make your block pop

Really nice Dresden Plate. I was going to comment about your middle finger hurting and decided to 'not touch' that. In my family, all kinds of jokes would be going around if I said that. Hope you feel better soon.
