    Dutchman's Puzzle finish

Just finished this Dutchman's Puzzle lap quilt for my mom's 88th birthday. This has been one of my most challenging quilts to date and definitely learned where I need improvements! 49 total fabrics, some scrap, some from the stash and a few FQ's purchased specifically for this quilt.

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

Wow! I love it. You did a terrific job. Blue is my favorite color, and you make it shine.

Thanks for all the encouragement. Of course, the pics hide MOST of the mistakes. Definitely going to do another FG, want to perfect them cuz they are so handy in many blocks. I thought the washing added more interest than the normal dashing would have. The blocks just seen together was a little too boring and the individual blocks didn't shine as well. Got the idea from a pic of a Bonnie Hunter quilt.

Very nice, I like the way you did the sashing too. It's interesting to see how the different color combinations make each block so different.
