I love this - did you use a pattern and if so - what is the name? I am so not a good quilter, however, I'm a big wanna-be and I would love to try this. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Carpenter's Wheel has pulled at my heartstrings for years. My grandmother, gr grandmother and gr aunt made one together for my grandmother. It's very special and I'm so glad I can hold it every day.

Can't go wrong when you use nothing but squares and half-square triangles. I'm glad you decided to try it. It turned out very nicely!!!!

This is the only pattern I've ever seen for a carpenter's wheel. What does the "hard" one look like?

Basically it's just one big block, though you put it together with half square triangles.

Judy, the pattern I used for the Carpenters Wheel is made up of half square triangles instead of the in-set squares. They are MUCH easier than the squares!!!

Nice job!!!!!!!! I have made this pattern from "quilters Cache" and it is very easy. The pattern I made was for 24" block and after I added borders it finished at about 30" square. The pattern also gives instructions for larger quilt.
