Easy Table Topper Pattern
I don't remember who pointed me to this pattern, but it really is quite easy once you understand the cutting directions. I did add one extra "row" on each end as my friend has a 52" table and the pattern is for a 38" length.

Very pretty! I have found it is also a good pattern to make QAYG. I cut the backing a little bigger than I want the front to be. Place a layer of Hobbs 80/20 fusible batt (cut the same size) down on the backing. I center and iron my center square to the sandwich. I then lay the first strip face down on the center block and stitch through all the sandwich and then iron out the first strip. I piece the little square onto the next strip and then add it QAYG and move out until finished. The runner is sewn and quilted with just the trimming and binding to do. I quilt a nice fancy design in the center block to finish it.
