Default Elephant wallhanging

An elephant wallhanging as a Christmas gift for a 12 year friend. Apparently she loves it. It's on the wall already. Fabrics; $1.99 a yard from JoAnn's. Pattern; Adapted from Paisley Splash - a free online pattern. Glue on jewels from JoAnn's. Beaded trim glued on bottom. Not as intense in color as it might have been if I had used LQS fabric, but all in all, it worked out. The back is a gorgeous batik, but I won't post it because I don't post pictures of children and the pic her dad sent had her in it, but it does look cool with the elephant echoed on the batik

Beautiful wall-hanging! You did a great job.

I wish I knew someone who loves elephants, just so I could make one too....or even someone who is having a baby so they could get a baby quilt!

The Paisley Splash pattern is intended a baby quilt and has more of the 'water droplets', but I needed something to follow. I won't tell S that it was a baby quilt pattern.

What 12-year old girl wouldn't love this. Pink, purple, elephant spraying water from its trunk and jewels. Perfect.
