Default Elephants on the run

I made this quilt for a friend as a wedding gift. She loves elephants and went with me to pick out the fabrics/colors. So we already know she's going to love it.

It is a modified design. Paper pieced and was a pain to quilt. King size. My machine did not like something about this quilt. I had a horrible time quilting it. 😔 I added their names, and wedding date to the top and bottom borders. The other two names are in memory of her parents, they are a little more hidden but there.

I still have a couple borders to finish and a few spots to fix where my tension was off but otherwise she's lacking the binding and label. Then it's off to Alaska to keep the newlyweds warm.

Thanks for for stopping by to take a peak.

This is so cute! And your quilting is fantastic!

My goddaughter LOVES elephants and I'm working on a quilt for her for Christmas. This would have been the perfect pattern for her! However, I'm going the easier route and am doing Warm Wishes with a focus fabric with elephant print.
