    Elk in Mountains

I had a lot of fun with this one. I had dyed the purplish fabric and didn't know what to do with it so used it for mountains. It is part reality and part fantasy which always makes it more fun. I'm not sure about the water lillies in the pond but we have a lot of them in the high country of Idaho. Thanks for looking.

I like your scene. Did you use a printed deer or piece it too? Good job.

That is beautiful, as are all your art quilts. I love lily pads.

It is wonderful! I must admit that the lilly pads kind of draw my eye away from the main subjects of the picture. Your mountains and Elk are superb.

Awesome....that looks perfect. Beautiful. Colorado has purple mountains like that at just the right time of day.

What? You weren't reminded of "... purple mountains majesty ..."?! It looks wonderful to me. I can even imagine the frogs in the lily pads.

When I saw this quilt I thought to myself "Oh gosh that's beautiful." When I look at it, everything fits into the quilt. Wouldn't it be lovely to have this hanging on a wall to see & enjoy everyday. I admire your talent & please keep posting.

No I didn't use a printed piece. It is fusible raw edge applique. We have a lot of elk here and it was based on a photgraph a friend took.

Love it! The sky you made is marvelous!!! The lilies sorta drew my eye, but I say leave them as it represents your home area, plus it would be dull on the bottom without them.
