    Default Elna Excellence 720

Has anyone changed the light bulbs to LED lights on a Elna Excellence 720?

Sorry, no. But, I am pretty sure that the machine booklet has instructions on how to do it. If you don't have access to that, perhaps check on Utube. There are many sewing machine videos there on" how to". Or perhaps buy one aftermarket on ebay.

Changing the lights is very easy. I was wondering about using LED lights instead of the regular lights.

I hadn't thought of changing the light bulb but will look into it. Sounds like a great idea!

I have another question - do you FMQ with your Excellence 720? I can never get the tension right. Looks great on top but the bottom is too tight. Got any suggesitons for settings?

I have FMQ, but not a lot. I have found it is more of me getting the right speed than the tension.

I have an Elna 740 eXcellence.
I changed the lightbulb to an LED light. (Had to wait for it to be imported).
I also do FMQ with the feed-dogs down.
    Love my machine!

I just ordered the LED lights from Amazon. Thank you for confirming that it can be done. I also FMQ with my feed dogs down.
I really like my 720. Of course it has many features I seldom use. But, they are there if I want them. Happy sewing!
