Really gorgeous. Years ago I made a Dresden plate pattern quilt for my in-laws 40th. Last year my mother-in-law passed away at 93 and I got back the quilt I had gifted to them. Wonderful memory for me now.

Beautifully done! That is truly a special tribute and one they can enjoy for a very long time. Enjoy the hand work on the next one.

That is beautiful. I love hand embroidery. I am doing a redwork quilt right now of Sun Bonnet Sue. This is my first one I have done.

I would love to do one like you have done. Was it a printed kit? You did a fantastic job.

twinkie- it was stamped, just liken the pretty sunbonnet sue one you are working on now. I believe it is from the same company too! The printing looks the same.

NZquilter.....you did a fantastic job....it gave me the idea to do this with some of the beautiful machine embroidery designs I have but never know what to do with them or how to use them. This is a good idea for using them.

Beautiful! Absolutely gorgeous embroidered blocks and the purple sashing sets them off so well. Congratulations!

Awesome hand work and I love the setting you used. It's perfect with your blocks; doesn't overwhelm them at all.

Mine was by Jack Dempsey. Do you remember the name of it? And BTW, I just love your sashing.
