Now she'll always have fabric to hug when she's had a rough day. What a cutie pie she is. She'll carry on the tradition. Cool. :-)

My daughter started at that age and she thinks of a quilt first for a gift and then may have to give something else because she doesn't have enough time to get it all done.

She has such a look of anticipation in the first picture. Just like Christmas!

Thank you all for the nice comments. She did have so much fun opening them yesterday.
She loved reading all the notes and her post card from Guam (thanks terri) and her very pretty sticker package. She is scrap booking her notes and post card, and yes even her gum package and note(when its empty of course) from Bones. She really loved that Chele!! You guys made her day.

Quilt buddies are the best.

Dear Pam and Emily - so glad to be of help.
Emily I hope you get to make many quilts - and have lots of fun doing it. Getting started at your age should really help you appreciate all the work and love that friends and family put into any gift that is hand made. You are so lucky to have a grandma who will take the tim to teach you and help you learn. Enjoy your new found hobby and be sure to post all kinds of pictures for us.
