Are you fed up with me yet?

OK I put some black in the centre section and darkened up the purple parts - the aim is to integrate this section more with the overall design and get away from the blocky non flowing effect of the first version. I also quite like the 'floating' effect that the black gives, as if this is a Moorish fretwork panel? Fanciful ain't I?

    Anyway, thoughts? Preferences? :-D

Thank you. I don't know, it's just fiddling about until I see something I like. :-D But these twisted log cabin blocks fascinate me. If you flip and rotate them you can get some great effects and then if you experiment with fabric placement rather than making the block symmetrical, you can create secondary designs across the quilt. It's fun, it's just like doodling but with quilt blocks. :-D

I'm sure whatever you decide though it will be lovely. Your quilts always are!
Oooh, yes, applique in the center!!! That would be great!!

And I TOTALLY agree with the last sentence. I'll love it whatever you decide!!

    1. you are SO creative so shu'up!
    2. Leave the corners be! I like them! I know that plain pat thinks they look like jaws but I thought more soaring eagles. And yes Pat, I DID ask!
No, no, not CHANGE the corner blocks, just DUPLICATE them in the center is what I meant.

But then I was looking at it again and thought, (and I don't even know if this is possible, mind you) What if you made the twisted logs to form like twisted spiral balls that interlock--like spirals that make a round. Boy that's hard to describe. With the cool little diamonds converging into a square or diamond in the center. ROFLMAO!!!

As I was having trouble popping back & forth to view them, I copied & pasted them all onto one page (hope that's okay) & I still like the first version the best. I think the first one has the WOW factor going for it, and this one is more a traditional looking center. JMHO

My eyes love the first block. This third one seems to be looking back at me. Again, just my eyes. I love this, don't know how you did it or will do it but I love it.
