I cut the panel to fit a baby's quilt size. It worked ! Machine quilted the butterfly wings, caterpiller segments, around and through the leaf, inside the colorful food bits ( circles ).
It will be fun for my Great Niece ! Bought the hard book too. 40 year anniverary for this book !

I didn't know it was around that long either! It's my GD's favroite book- she cries when it is done! I made a quilt like this for the toddler bed I have in my sewing room. I have another kit to make one for her.

    Love the story!

    Very cute.

This must be a popular panel and/or the book is very popular. I've seen a lot of pics on the 'net using that fabric panel.

I remember when you bought this fabric and was so excited about it. I have been looking forward to seeing the finished product since I knew it wouldn't be in the "stash room" long.

Your quilt is just darling---I love the backing, too.

I used to teach PreK and this was always a favorite book of the kids' and mine, too! Your great neice is lucky, lucky, lucky! :D
