I thought about adding some color, too!

But boy am I glad that I did stop. There was a nice guy that stated the lady that had passed away was a quilter, and I am guessing it was her son, said she did every thing by hand. I found a few small bags of fabric and large bag of patterns. I still have to go through it all and figure out some of the patterns, but I am loving this one panel. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet, but I will most definatly use it in a quilt. I got all of it for $9.50. Could not believe it!
Anyone have ideas for a quilt pattern for these panels?

You've got multiples of some prints------------why not try coloring some? Adding a bit of embellishment.

Those panel are wonderful. One idea would be to make black and white house, church, barn, schoolhouse, etc. blocks and place these various panels thoughout.

What a lucky find! I'm sure whatever you decide to do with them it will be beautiful!

I would make blocks that are like in the panels. and make a sampler quilt.

If they were mine, I think I'd use some fabric paint and lightly watercolor them. Esp the quilts, so they would stand out. So cute!

Ohhhh, I wish I had found them! I can see them set into the center of blocks using pink and black and white as my color scheme. Probably using 30's repro fabric for my pinks. What a lucky find. Sometimes those spur of the moment stops can be so lucky!

    Happy sewing,
    Thurma
