I love doing traditional quilt patterns that lend themselves to hand-quilting so the Boston Commons quilt is perfect for that. I did the Iowa journey for a quilt retreat I taught at. The Turkey Tracks was done to get rid of some of my Thimbleberries fabric scraps I had left from other projects. I find if you use a constant background fabric in a scrap quilt you end up with a much more unified look overall

WOW!!! I saw the Boston Commons and thought "How elegant!"
Then I scolled down and saw the Iowa Journey and thought, "How striking!" Then I scrolled down further and saw the Turkey Tracks (a block I've never been too fond of) and thought, "WOW, I LOVE IT!!!" I guess I'd just never seen such a pretty one before. That just might become one of my favorite blocks now.
