Was the Royal Cross difficult? I've admired that block for a long time but I'm intimidated by templates!

no, i found it in fons & porter's "quilter's complete guide" & i didn't think it was hard at all it looks like it would be a pain but i needed to see it in other colors than those presented so i tackled it TRY IT!

They are all beautiful. Are you going to make more of any one of them for a complete quilt?

funny you should ask......that's the real joy of making a sample block--if you like it then, hey, you can do it all over again.......if not, well, someone else is getting a gift.......although, i am really fond of that maryland star[which is on quilterscache btw] i'll put that on the bottom of my to do list[i think i threw it away last week]
i just love love love that avatar of yours -----i crack up every time i see that dog with armor-----not sure why........

They are all so pretty! How many more are you going to do? I would love to see them in a finished quilt! I think the star is my favorite...

Those are beautiful. I love them all but especially the good luck wheel. That is going to be a beautiful sampler quilt.
