    Fabric came today!

The fabric for the quilt for my sister. The picture hardly does it justice, can't tell that there is gold metallic all through it and the one on the upper-left is almost all gold for the sashing.

The second from the left is the background for the fans, also has gold in it, and the pieces on the bottom are the center panel and the fan fabrics.

I couldn't get the green in the 4 corners so I'll do something else there.

It is gorgeous. The panel in the center looks to die for. Could you post a link to it?

Great color choices. If your sister doesn't want it, send it to me.

Most of it is the "Dancing Cranes" collection, got it at Fabric.com. I can't take credit for coordinating all of it.

Other than the Dancing Cranes there is Fusions - Scroll and Leaf Gold/Ivory (for the sashing), and Mariko Metallic Butterflies Blue and Burgundy.

Beautiful fabric. The quilt looks stunning. I can't wait until you show the finished quilt. Your sister will love it. Guess I will have to get some of those yummy fabrics. What is the pattern name if you don't mind? BrendaK

I created the design after looking at lots of quilts searching for "Asian panel quilt". Many are pretty much alike with the sashing between each panel or section. I based it on the size of the center panel first, then filled in around it. The sections around it are based on how big I wanted the fans, which are 8" blocks (I think). It has wide sections because I wanted something bed sized, not wall sized.
