someday i will be good enough to ake one of these! this is an outstanding use of color!! the quiltwork makes it look like a flag blowing gently in the breeze to me, hands down one of the prettiest bargellos i have ever seen. what a fantastic job!

They are all quilting cottons, no sparkly fabrics there.
The sun is helping out in the first picture. But in the second one, there is no direct sun.
I try to make them pop by playing with color and texture. Eg, when I choose 1 shot cotton among the floral and geometric, the shot cotton pops out.
Also, there are some fabric in there that have excellent color contrast. Eg one Kaffe Fassett fabric has blue motifs in a red/brown background. The blue motifs look like they are dancing! So those fabric choices helped a lot in making the cascade shimmer and flow.

Your quilt reminds me of watching a waterfall against the brown stone/rock of someplace like Arizona or Utah. Simply wonderful. You did a great job. Thanks for much for sharing.
