Koi Panel Update - Top Finished
The top I started yesterday is completed. I had to use a navy blue solid for the narrow border and had to do some real creative piecing to have enough of the sea foam color for the final border, but I made it! I am going to make another of these and put the things I learned to work. Should be even quicker.
Now to decide how to quilt it. I have a large piece of another floral, thinking about using it as the backing and following that design for the quilting. Do you think that would look okay? Also, I decided it looks better hung on the horizontal rather than the vertical. What do you think?

I like the koi fabric!
This is a nice pattern and I'm glad someone found it.
I plan to try this pattern with some Asian-looking fabric I have on hand.
Thanks for sharing.
It looks nice both ways but I prefer the vertical way.

Very nice. When I first saw it I thought how pretty. Then I saw the vertical and I thought that was pretty. When I looked at them again it seemed to me that the vertical was better looking. The vertical looks more grounded to me. (Looks to me like the water might run out on the horizontal, dumb huh).Either way you did a good job on this. BrendaK
