    Koi Quilt Update

First, I would like to say THANK YOU for all of your support, kind words and well wishes to my entries into my county and state fairs. Here are the results...

At the county fair - they give participation and workmanship ribbons. I received a Champion ribbon (which essentially means I was awarded 3 place with work at an above average level). I am very pleased with my Champion ribbon!

At the state fair - I received a 1st Place Blue Ribbon in the Bed Quilt - Applique - Machine Quilted Category.

These were the first submissions I have ever entered so I am very happy with the results of each.

That is just awesome. Congrats to you on the well deserved awards. I marvel at the uniqueness of so many of the quilts that I see here, and yours is definately among the unique. Great work.

    I knew you would win!!
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

Congratulations! Your quilt would do quite well at quiltshows too. You should enter it in some in your area. Check with local guilds and AQS for scheduling of major shows

Beautiful quilt. Was the applique raw edge or needle turn?

Thank you. I had actually hoped to enter into a show but the person it was made for is anxious to get it on his bed and start using it....as a bed decoration of course.
