If you do a search of my Username: RNUNU ..... I put a posting in about "Witherspoon Quilt Racks" ..... which may help answer any questions you may have about the "wall quilt hanger" I made.

It's beautiful. Thanks for posting your family heirloom. I've been working on postage stamp quilts for about 5 years now. It's most refreshing to see someone else's work in the same media.

It is too bad that this beautiful quilt was in a pillowcase and not enjoyed by everyone through the years. I hope they took it out occassionally to look at it through the years.

Beautiful, I wonder how long it took her to make it.

These are so nostalgic & I know you're glad to have preserved the postage stamp quilt. The display turned out well, too.

Isn't it amazing. They were also washing clothes on a washboard, cooking from scratch for very large famillies and a field full of farmhands...probably cooking on a wood burning stove, raising a full garden and a coop full of chickens. But still they managed to turn out these beautiful hand pieced and quilted treasures. Hmmmm .... maybe partly because they didn't have TV or computers for distraction.
