Dear friends to our family became parents of a girl...........almost three month ahead of time. The baby is in intensive care but is doing great. I thought she could use a gardian angle quilt.
It was quite an experience to make a quilt in three days and work with big pieces of fabric. The pics dont show the colors accurate, the big one is too pale and the close up to dark. The fotographer is at work. lol.

DP9 revised and beautiful. How creative!!! Your quilt is quite adorable and will be much appreciated. I like doing machine embroidery also. I just did a DP9 using 12-10" layer cake squares, cut into 4 squares (corners of the 9patch) and a couple coordinating fabrics' one for the center and the other for the four inner outside squares. I scattered the blocks to make it scrappy looking. I prewashed all the fabric, including the layer cake, thus shrinkage caused me to cut those 10" layer cake squares down to 9 1/2", but the blocks ended up around 12"; added a couple borders and ended up with a 43x55 quilt.
