For being a "fast" quilt, it's lovely. I especially like the quote on it.

Beautiful quilt and very thoughtful too!!! It looks just awesome and I'm sure he's gonna just love it!! I sure hope someone takes a pic for you so we can see his reaction too!!!

I'm sorry you lost someone in your family. It's never easy, no matter the circumstances.
The quilt you made 'in a hurry' for your WONDERFUL-sounding former boss is very special. I imagine he is the kind of person to be humble, but he will find a way to thank you for you thoughtfulness and knowledge of what is meaningful to him.

Could you walk me through the steps of applying the quote to the center block? I want to so something like that but I am not sure where to start.
