I just finished my very first applique project. I started this in late summer but put it aside after Christmas b/c I had to redo the quilting :-( :-(
I made this for my 2 year old g/s. I gave it to him as one of his birthday gifts.

I love your quilt. Making kids quilts is my favourite pastime. Is that your own pattern or a commercial one.

I got the pattern from FatCats.Com (i think that's correct). I decided the hand embroider each animal so it was a little time consuming, but I love the patterns on fatcats.

Thanks...he stopped playing with his cars to give it a quick cuddle at his b-day party. I was thrilled with his response.

Thanks. It was challenge and a fun quilt to make. I thought it would be nice to learn new techniques.

What a wonderful quilt. I would love to have one like that. I have seen the patterns on fat cat and have saved some. I hope to get to one or two soon.

Such a wonderful quilt. I haven't even begun to think about hand sewing or applique'. But your work is certainly an inspiration.
