This is the quilt I'm sending to my dad for Father's Day. He's a bigtime Harley guy but I couldn't find Harley fabric I liked, so I just used some generic motorcycle fabric. I got bored of this quilt really early on so it was difficult to make myself finish. :P I wish I would have quilted it a little differently but my dad will love it and that's the important thing!

Little one thinking I was wanting his picture

What a wonderful quilt! (and little guy, too!) What block is that above and below the novelty fabric? I see the four patch, and then a really cool block I've never seen before. Is there a name for it or did you just create it? Beautiful work!

I got this pattern from another member here on the forum (BKinCO). I think she told me it was from an old McCall's magazine.

The four patches are actually the corners of the blocks coming together. You made the half square triangles and sewed them together with the solid squares. You sewed those strips to the four sides of the big squares, and then that was your square to sew together in rows.

    Thanks everyone for the compliments!
