Default Faux Cathedral Windows Pincushions

I saw the pretty ones someone posted, and found the pattern, but I didn't want to do all that folding and such,so I made my own similar one.So much faster.Took me about 35 minutes, and that included doing the binding by hand. All you need is 4 squares and a piece of binding,(about two inches wide).Use 2 squares of whatever size you want your pincushion,2 squares that are 2 to 2/14 in. larger than the first sqares, and a piece of batting same size as larger squares. Basically you make a little pillow out of the first two squares, and a bound" potholder"(batting inside, may be quilted or not).Lay the little pillow diagonally on the "potholder" piece and fold flaps to center like an envelope.Tack down and add your button. This was a first sample and I need to tweak it a bit,but its a lot easier than all that folding, and I think they look almost as good.

I think I understand. I will try it out. Would love a picture tutorial. I have made them with all the folding and found they were a bit difficult to push pins in. Will try this. Thanks for sharing. It looks really cute and quick.

I love your pincushion and it looks so much easier than an actual Cathedral Window. Thank you for sharing.
