Why bother with an long arm when you can do work as beautiful as this is. This shows off your natural talent and you should stick with doing this. You've made it yours. Thanks for the inspiration.

Your quilting is magnificent. I barely can get the meandering done. But what batting do you use to get a result like that?

Thank you! I am grateful for the compliment, I can't even tell you. I have since brought home my long arm and I love it! The learning curve has definitely taken several months to overcome but I'm just about to the point I can create this kind of work on the long arm too. I thought a great deal about just getting a larger throated sit down machine but now that I have it my long arm, I'm really happy with the choice I made. The benefit of the long arm is that I can sew MUCH faster! This type of work takes me all day on the sewing machine...and would take me about an hour on the long arm. Also, because of the frame set up, there's no crawling on the kitchen floor trying to pin baste a king sized quilt!
