    Default a few finishes

    Hi, ladies:

I finally finished three small quilts using my dad's shirts. My dad passed away last year. I posted a picture here a month ago asked for advice on the color choice of sash fabric. Thanks for all the advise and encouragements you gave me. Making these quilts healing my heart.

    Thanks for looking.

My condolences, I lost my dad last year too, and I'm happy it gave you comfort.

Love all three, but I think my favorite is the stars.

You have done a really good job. And it really does heal the heart. You're doing something with his shirts, and that helps your heart. Good for you.

I took Dad’s old boots home and planted flowers in them. Did the same with Mom’s purse 9 years later. Helped me cope in the first year, then I was ready to discard.

Those are really handsome quilts. I’m so sorry for your loss. My daddy is 83 and the light of my life. I try not to think of losing him, but every time I wash his shirts, you know it goes through my mind after sering all these “Dad’s shirts” memory quilts. (((Hugs)))
