For those that are afraid of zippers.....go to Craftsy. There is a free bag making class by Kristin Link( not the one with the bucket bag) Anyways, she shows you how to sew zipper without pins- she uses a glue stick. It is super simple and comes out perfect. Try it, it's free!

Clever idea-just the thing to stay organized with many things. It is like a carry around filing cabinet. It is really cute and useful.

There are some step by step directions for making this bag on youtube. I just bought the pattern and these videos are going it make it Soooo much easier the first time I make it. The Channel is Birdcage Thread. Just search for Bionic Gear Bag.
As for Zippers....the way the use them in zipper pockets is worlds easier than putting them in dresses. I always hated putting zippers in dresses but the way these go in is easy. Once you try it you will be hooked.

Your bag looks very useful for portability hexie sewing - would be handy for paper piecing such as the La Passacaglia quilt! Thanks for info.
