For the valentines Wall-hanging

I put feathers in the border swirls in all the other "white" areas. Pebbled in the star points and little flowers in the hearts that POP out because of the pebbling. I left the red alone..I had debated ..but it is pieced so nicely and the red really stands alone...looks very nice and pops out.

The Vacation Umbrella quilt is so adorable!
T bought it on vacation in the Florida keys..it will be a wall-hanging.

I couldn't come up with any grandiose ideas for the quilting and I stared at it for two weeks..LOL.....all I could see were outlines and making those umbrellas pop out ..so that is what I did. I stippled in the pin wheel areas. IN the borders I just again outlined one scenic line and stippled the outside edge....they are adorable quilts!

I quilted these free hand on my INNOVA. No computer or pantograph quilting.

Both are so nice. I need to learn to use more colorful fabric - love the vacation colors. I actually have a FQ of the umbrellas, but not enough to do much with.
