Default Final Lion in Flowers embroidery

Here is the final version of the design. The thread is Madeira classic 40 rayon in 18 colors with 20 color changes. It took over 5 hours to stitch out but I had a couple of thread breaks and I tend to go slow anyway. The size is about 7 x 7.5. This piece will be cut out and appliqued by hand onto the quilt...I'm hoping tomorrow...but the contractor will be here for a long day with a bathroom remodel. I'm making up this quilt as I go so I have no idea what it's going to look like when it's finished.

Just lovely. You did an awesome job picking colors and stitching it out. I can't wait to see your quilt.

That's glorious! Is it your own design? I love the flowers and berries and leaves, and your mix of colors and the lion's expression. (Or is it a lioness because of the girly colors and hair adornments? LOL)

It looks great! Having the black background gives it a nice contrast to really show well.
