Default Finally decided to get back to it

After a traumatic life event two years ago, I finally returned to my studio this month and completed two ufo's. I'm pretty sure my quilting days are just about over as evidenced by the poor quilting done on these two. However, I do enjoy piecing and may still do a few and pass them on for others to finish. We'll see . I still have two almost finished tops and another Jimmy Beyer pattern with already purchased fabric.

This first is a New York beauty variation copied from a magazine I had years ago (I forget which one)
The picture is a jimmy beyer called Faberge. It is one of the few I will keep for myself.l

Roxanne, It is wonderful that you returned to quilting. Please don't give up just because you feel you aren't as good as you once were. I personally would be thrilled to own any of the above pieces. Sometimes we are our own worst critics. Beautiful quilted pieces.

I love the optical illusion created in the first one. The second is just as striking. Welcome back to quilting. I'm glad that you were able to gain some pleasure from it.

My goodness, what is wrong with the quilting? Looks good to me. Beautiful quilts. We are always our worst critic. I do the same to myself too. Take care and keep on quilting.
