    Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. The biggest problem we ran into was the original size of the pictures. It finally came down to squaring them up-----so the big picture which started out as a rectangle had to be adjusted to a 24 1/2" square, and the 4 smaller ones had to be adjusted to 12 1/2" squares to make it all work out. And then we used the 4 patch after that. And then I added the 2 big 6" blue strips on top and bottom to make the quilt a rectangle rather than a plain square. But I am pleased with it, and I think my son will really like it too. Will use the blue for the back, and then it's off to the quilters with it.
