    The Irish Chain is actually a King size. Big. Huge. I just can't seem to make anything small. LOL

    you are right when you say that "if they only knew" the complete process of making quilts. it's time to educate. while you sit quietly with the recipient, tell them the story from why you chose the pattern, colors, etc. and how you finished it. it might help them to understand, and therefore, appreciate the quilt even more.
