I finally finished this fishing quilt for my Uncle Bob-his 93rd birthday is Oct 2nd!! His favorite past time when he was still able was to go fishing in the lake. It is hand-quilted, and I made a matching pillow case which I will put the quilt in to give it to him. Since my dad died when I was only 18, he has always been there for me-he even walked me down the isle when I got married nearly 36 years ago! I am SO glad this is done, I was struggling because it wasn't my favorite fabric (it was picked for him) and I REALLY want to start on my BOW TUCKS!!! I leave for Vanuatu again in 2 weeks, so I want to get a couple done before I leave!

I just washed it so it is a little wrinkled, but so soft!

Thanks! He is pretty cripled up, needs his walker to get around, and can't be on his feet too long. I also made him a walker caddy that I sewed on fish and his name -using the same color scheme

You did a beautiful job on both piecing and the quilting, love the label.
