once you have the tubes of sewn together strips, the tubes are cut into 20 (2 3/4 in.) strips which are then taken apart at the correct place so you have now a flat piece that you lay the 9 degree ruler on to cut . Does that make it any clearer. It is really hard to explain myself. If all else fails and you want to make the topper , send me a pm with your address and I will send you a copy of the pattern. I called our quklt guild member and he said that he used parts of other patterns to develop this one

No binding. just turned inside out. I think that is referred to "pillowcasing" ?
